Delicious Celebrations for National Chocolate Cake Day
There is truly a “National Day” of celebration for everything these days. It is fantastic to have the opportunity to recognise many great holidays and occasions, however, some are definitely more popular with the residents at our elderly care home in Kettering than others… which leads us to The Old Vicarage celebrating National Chocolate Cake Day!
Yes, it is a real thing and not something we just invented to sate the many sweet tooths we have here, we promise! Chocolate cake has been around since the mid 18th century and is without a doubt one of the most popular desserts - more than worthy of a day dedicated to celebrating it we say!
So, to commemorate this very important day our residents joined forces to create a beautiful, indulgent chocolate cake. Many hands make for light work and thanks to a fantastic team effort, it wasn’t long before the official The Old Vic National Chocolate Cake Day creation was finished. As you can see from the pics below it looked utterly delicious - and the fact there were absolutely no leftovers should be enough to tell you the taste did not disappoint!
