Festive Activities Aplenty at the Old Vicarage

Residents at The Old Vicarage Care Home have been getting into the Christmas spirit this month by enjoying a number of festive activities. The season to be jolly got well underway with little delay as the 1st of December saw the Christmas trees (multiple!) and decorations go up around the home. This set the scene for a month full of fantastic festive cheer in the run up to the big day.

Christmas Tree

First up was some arts and crafts as residents created some wonderful handmade Christmas cards for their friends and relatives. With plenty of artistic talent on display we know there will definitely be some very impressed Christmas card recipients this year!

Homemade Christmas Card

Next up, an exciting game of Christmas bingo was on the cards. Festive characters and Christmas items replaced the traditional bingo numbers as the residents listened intently, hoping to hear the Santa Claus or Snowman they were waiting for called out. With a number of prizes, including boxes of delicious chocolate, up for grabs it was certainly a competitive event!

Christmas Bingo

Something a little more peaceful was called for after the bingo excitement, so everybody enjoyed a spot of gingerbread decorating. Gingerbread men, houses, trees, snowmen and more were brought to life by the creative decorating skills of our residents. Treating themselves to a cheeky glass of their favourite tipple and some tasty mince pies throughout, it was a fantastic afternoon for all involved.
