The Old Vicarage Raise Money for Macmillan Cancer Support
Last week saw The Old Vicarage Care Home participating in the world’s biggest coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support. It’s such an important cause for so many of us and everybody at our gold standard nursing home in Northamptonshire was more than happy to get involved. Our residents got hard to work decorating some lovely cakes for the occasion. As well as this we were also on the receiving end of some incredible generosity. The Dovecote Buttery restaurant & farm shop in Newton and Tesco in Kettering both donated a selection of delicious cakes. The Stirrup Cup pub in Barton Seagrave also donated a voucher for a 3 course meal for two, which allowed us to raise some extra money.
The event was a huge success and everybody had a fantastic time - especially when getting to eat some delicious cake was involved! And the best news of all was that an amazing £125 was raised for such an excellent cause! Well done to everybody involved!
