Claremont Lodge help raise money with Mick's March

Congratulations to Laura (plus Laura's husband Chris) and Jess, the activity coordinators at one of our group's care homes in Sussex, Claremont Lodge. They walked 25 miles with zimmer frames and wheelchairs to raise £450 for a local Sussex charity event called Micks March, which was held from 4th July to 14th July 2017.

The activities team were inspired by the efforts of 4 Sussex men who had taken on the challenge to walk 1000 miles in 10 days, equalling the Guinness world record. Not only a physical challenge but also a mental one as they were walking around the local primary school field! Day and night the team walked in 3 hourly slots, individually walking 25 miles every day! The girls walked 150 laps!

All money raised is going towards the Snowdrop Trust and Aldingbourne Primary School PTA. The Micks March team visited Claremont Lodge care home's summer fete and met the residents and took part in the tug of war. It was a fantastic community event to be a part of.
